Iron Plus Mn (12-0-0-6-2) is a formulation of essential iron, manganese, sulfur, and nitrogen. Iron is the most commonly deficient micronutrient in turf. A deficiency is often caused by insolubility rather than a lack of iron in the soil. Soil characteristics causing this condition include alkalinity, high organic matter, poor drainage, or high levels of Mn, P, Zn or As. Deficiency symptoms include interveinal chlorosis (yellowing) of young leaves turning white in advanced stages. Necrotic lesions are occasionally present. Thin and weak growth often results. Manganese is important in the synthesis of chlorophyll and many other physiological functions. Its function is closely related to iron in plants. Manganese is most commonly deficient in alkaline or highly leached sandy soils. Deficiency symptoms include interveinal chlorosis with veins remaining green, distinct necrotic spots on leaves, and drooping leaves. Iron Plus Mn is designed for foliar application to correct and prevent iron and manganese deficiencies in turfgrasses, trees, shrubs, woody ornamentals, and vegetable crops. Iron Plus Mn also contains acid chelates which stabilizes micronutrient elements and enhances their uptake and translocation within the plant. Iron Plus Mn is compatible with most pesticides and fertilizers, with the exceptions of amino acid formulation and high phosphate fertilizers.
Apply 3 oz. per 1000 sq. ft. of turf in 2.5 gal. of water per month, or 1 gal. per acre diluted in 50 gal. water per month. (3 oz. per 1000 sq. ft. supplies 0.03 lb. N, 0.015 lb. Fe, 0.005 lb. Mn and 0.009 lb. S per 1000 sq. ft.) Do not water turf for 24 hr. after application. This product should be used as a supplement to a regular fertility program. It will not by itself provide all the nutrients normally required by plants.
A pre-mix “Jar Test” is recommended to check compatibility of product combinations that have not been previously tested.
Caution: Iron and Manganese Sulfate will discolor ornamental surfaces (tile, rock, masonry, etc.). Avoid contact with these surfaces. If contact is made with these surfaces, immediately wash with large volumes of water.

Store between 40-95° F. Avoid direct heat or fire. Decomposition may occur at high temperatures (above 225° F). Avoid Freezing!
